What We Offer

In-House Engineering
At McCollough Yachts, we recognize that proper composite and aluminum engineering is central to well-executed design. We pride ourselves on our advanced engineering methods and do not outsource this critical work.
Full Product Life-Cycle
From concept through sea trials, you can count on McCollough Yacht’s support throughout the enjoyable process of bringing your dreams alive.
Performance Analysis
The best engineers hate surprises. Our Velocity Prediction Program (VPP) allows us to accurately predict how your yacht will perform before you fire up the engine or hoist the sails.
Fluid Dynamics
The advanced mathematical modeling of water over moving surfaces, or Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is one of the key tools that allows McCollough Yachts the ability to offer highly optimized designs.

Custom Yacht Process

Preliminary Design
This initial phase is where your dreams start to become reality. McCollough Yachts will work closely with you to generate drawings, specifications, 3D models, and other documents that define your vessel. The objective of the preliminary design is to outline the vessel well enough that an independent boat builder can provide you with an accurate bid.

McCollough Yachts differs from other yacht design and engineering firms in the exceptional level of detail that is included with a preliminary design packet. This is the only way to produce accurate bids, avoid cost overruns, avoid late deliveries, and maintain enjoyment throughout the construction phase.
Bid Process
McCollough Yachts maintains a database of trusted boat builders that we have worked with over the years. Leveraging this information, potential boatyards are identified, preliminary design packages are issued, and bids are collected. McCollough Yachts then works closely with the client to determine which boatyard best suits you and your project.
Construction Support
McCollough Yachts will personally inspect your vessel at key milestones in the construction process. This is the only way to guarantee that plans are being followed precisely. Surveying is a necessary step to protect the client, McCollough Yachts, and passengers on the completed vessel. Wherever you decide to build your yacht, McCollough Yachts will travel to ensure quality.
Sea Trials and Beyond…
Our support does not stop when you take delivery of your new yacht. Lessons from the real world are an invaluable resource for design engineers. Rest assured that our team will be there to support you as your vessel takes you on amazing adventures.

One word of caution: You may enjoy the design process SO much that you will find yourself back at McCollough Yachts design office eager to see your newest ideas become reality.
